Article 5(Objectives)
SESDO shall seek to enlarge and accelerate the contribution of sustainable
energy to economic and social development through out the country. Sustainable
energies include any energy source, system, carrier and use that do not harm the
health, environment, climate and peace on earth.
To attain these objectives SESDO:
5.1 Mobilizes its members, committees, components and partners to build
alliances for the promotion of clean sustainable energy systems based on the
Global Energy Charter for sustainable development.
5.2 strengths the institutional capacity of its members to implement sustainable
energy systems at regional, national, and local levels at un accelerated pace to
avoid an ecological and climate collapse.
5.3 encourages research and development related sustainable energy systems
5.4 to using charcoal by replacing clean energy
5.5 influence national and regional legal and administrative instruments to
enable societies to enforce and enjoy the advantages of clean, sustainable
energies;
5.6 make representation to the government, national agencies and commissions
to influence energy policies towards the transition to the clean sustainable
energy age.
5.7 assist in the development of mechanisms for easier and increased financing
of sustainable energy systems, education and research and to decrease the harm
subsides for unsustainable systems.
5.8 Takes any other appropriate action which will promote the clean, sustainable
energy age
5.9 Protect consumers of renewable energy products and services in all aspects
especially by encouraging the standardization of renewable energy equipment,
components and services such as design, installation and maintenance.
5.10 To promote and implement Agricultural based renewable energy
production.
Principals.
The SESDO shall apply the following principals in all its activities.

Political and religious neutrality.
b.
Collective responsibility in decision making
c.
Voluntary and open membership
d.
Non-discrimination between members and between sub regions.
e.
Gender equality
f.
Democratic decision making
g.
Concern for the welfare of the community in general
h.
Sub regional acceptance of the decision of the central organs,
[management board and the head quarters].
i.
Transparency in all its undertakings.
